Before You Tell Me I'm Lying

Something that was dumb that I did (I’ve never been in this situation before, I was not prepared) was to not provide more proof. These are serious accusations. If I expect anyone to believe me then, yes, there should be proof.

He beat both of his wives (Cynthia AND Yoko) and even after he went back into his oldest son’s life, he abused him emotionally (telling him that he hated the way he laughed, etc).

Besides that he was a liar liar liar. He made up huge events in his life that with a little bit of research were found to be made up.

People idolize him as some huge political, peaceful type of leader when in reality he knew nothing about politics (besides two or three statements and pictures with political signs) and was everything BUT peaceful. Every human makes mistakes, yes, but not as much as that. If it wasn’t for the fame, people would have seen him as a fuck up.

As much as he tried to look like a misunderstood artist following his own uncompromising vision, he was desperate for money and fame from the very beginning of his career. He happily and sheepishly went along with the Beatles (haircuts and media appearances) to later in his life blow it off as “lame” when he was cultivating an avant-garde reputation.

The media made him into some idolized, international peace and love spreader when the reality is that John is a wife beating, child abusing, lying crackhead much like every music artist of his time.

Yes, spread kindness, but if kindness means spreading lies and idolizing John to be something he wasn’t, then don’t. Spread the truth.

That doesn’t mean to hate his songs now or whatever, it just means that you now know not to make him into something he is not. I still love his music and I still love the part he played in The Beatles, I just don’t like him as a person.
